CARADMLWC has been awarded with the Federal Community-Based Coalition Enhancement Grant to Address Local Drug Crises. Out of 240 grant applications that were submitted we were one of the 55 grants awarded, and one of two coalitions in Connecticut awarded.
The Community-Based Coalition Enhancement Grants to Address Local Drug Crisis (CARA) Program was created by the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016. The goal of this program is to prevent and reduce the abuse of opioids or methamphetamines and the abuse of prescription medications among youth ages 12-18 in communities throughout the United States.
