National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW), an annual health observance week, that connects teens with resources to SHATTER THE MYTHS® about drugs and alcohol.
There are countless activities that teens, parents, caregivers, and teachers can do!

Here’s a list of our favorites:
Interactive Games on Kahoot!
The National Institute on Drug Abuse announced the availability to participate in six free Kahoot! quizzes for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week since we can't be together to learn!
The quizzes cover a variety of substance misuse topics and are a great way to share science-based facts about drugs and alcohol.
The Kahoots include:
  • Drugs and Alcohol: Can You Tell Fact from Fiction?
  • Substance Use and Your Brain: Do You Know the Facts?
  • Marijuana Myths: Can You Tell Fact from Fiction?
  • E-cigs, Vapes, and Mods: What Do You Know About Vaping?
  • Keeping Prescriptions Safe: The Facts About Prescription Drug Misuse
  • What’s the Buzz About Stimulants?
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform used in schools and universities.
Taking the National Drug & Alcohol IQ Challenge.
Test students’ knowledge about drugs and alcohol with this short, interactive quiz available in English and Spanish that can be used on mobile devices. More than 200,000 people took the IQ Challenge last year.

DMLWC's Social Media
We will be sharing facts on social media! Students from our Middle School and High School EDGE groups picked out facts that were important to them and we will be sharing those facts on social media to SHATTER THE MYTHS®.
Free, Science-Based Resources
Take advantage of the free, science-based resources to use in classrooms and communities, or at home. These include toolkits and activity ideas on various topics; science- and standards-based classroom lessons and multimedia activities on teens and drugs; and the recently updated Mind Matters series, which helps teachers explain to students the effects of various drugs on the brain and body.
