In partnership with Miranda Creative a core group of our EDGE high school members developed 4 peer to peer and 1 peer to adult marijuana awareness campaign. When developing the content for this campaign the students felt there needed to be an important and educational message about the harmful effects of marijuana.

Goals of the Campaign:
  • Increase peer and adult perception of harm of marijuana use
  • Start the conversation “It is not JUST marijuana”
  • Prevent and raise awareness about Drugged Driving

After the launch of the campaign students in grades 9-12 were asked to complete a brief survey in efforts to gauge the effectiveness of this campaign.
- Almost three-fourths of the students (74%) agreed that they are more aware of the risks around driving while using marijuana.
-  72% of the students are more aware of the impact marijuana use has on motor skills and reaction times.
